Beanna Gertrude Nelson was born on Feb. 9, 1942, to Charles and Clara (Tincy) Lane in Aztec, N.M. She went to be with Jesus on Oct. 8, 2013, in Kingman.
She is survived by her children, David (Kathy) Scroggins of Kingman, Daniel (Jami) Scroggins of Lake City, Colo., and Caterina (Nichole) Nelson of Farmington, N.M., along with her brothers, Bill (Eula) Lane and Roy Lane. She went on to work for the New Mexico State Police as dispatcher and then became a guard and fingerprint specialist at the San Juan County Jail in Aztec. She was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church, Red Hats, and loved her swim buddies in the arthritis swim class. She was an avid sports fan as long as one of the kids or grandkids was participating.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Living Word Lutheran Church, 2570 Northern Ave., Kingman. Burial will take place in Farmington, N.M.
