JOHNSON, William O. "Bill", 78, of Barnesville, OH, died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Barnesville Hospital.
He was born February 14, 1935, in Memphis, TN, son of the late Neal R. Johnson [26443:K] and Altie Scroggins Johnson Cronizer [26446:K].
A 1952 graduate from Woodsfield High School, Bill was a retired loan officer from WesBanco. He was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder since 2000. He was a volunteer for Hospice of Guernsey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great- grandson, one sister and five brothers.
Bill is survived by his wife, Thelma (Smith) Johnson [36279:K] of Barnesville, OH, a son, William Bradford "Brad" Johnson [38812:K]; daughters, Jerilynn (Dan) Price of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Nancy (Bradley) Wilson of Barnesville, OH; seven grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Kelly (Brian) Small, Shane (Renee) Price, Jon (Angel) Price, Wesley (Roxanne) Wilson, Clay (Tiffany) Wilson and Van Wilson; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Rosenlieb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 E. Main St., Barnesville, OH. The service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at East Main Street Church of Christ, 335 E. South St., Barnesville, OH, with Evangelist Val Roxby officiating.
Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, OH.
