Taylors - Robert Oliver Holte, 65, of Taylors, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at his home.
Born July 6, 1940, in Riverside, Calif., he was the son of Nellie Mays Holte of Paradise, Calif., and the late Raymond Holte. He was a 1966 graduate of Bob Jones University with a B.A. degree in Bible, and was the former assistant manager of the Bob Jones University campus stores. He was a faithful member of the Morningside Baptist Church, having served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 38 years, Carla Ledbetter Holte of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Neil Scroggins, and their children, Elisabeth, Jonathan and Lydia, all of Travelers Rest, S.C., Susanne and Jahn Horgen, and their children, Abigail, Jahn Mark, Susanna and Hope, all of East Earl, Pa., and Brenda and Robert Hansen and their daughter, Kirsten, of Taylors, S.C.; two sisters, Beverly Munson of San Jose, Calif., and Marlene Baumann and husband, Les, of Colton, Calif.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brent Holte.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Morningside Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Tony Lee Miller and the Rev. Steve Townsend. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the Woodlawn Funeral Home.
