Easley - Jeannine Hays Cichon, 77, of 101 Canterbury Drive, died Sunday, January 21, 2007, at the Hospice House of Anderson.


Born in Wathena, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Franklin and Edna Straub Hays. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens.


Surviving are three daughters, Karen Scroggin and husband, Tim, of Mount Pulaski, Ill., Lynn Ferris and husband, Dan, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Terri Cichon of Bedford, Texas, and four grandchildren, Kyle Scroggin, Briana Scroggin, Cory Ferris, and Benjamin Ferris. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl S. Cichon.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Reverend C. Thomas Miles officiating. A brief visitation will follow in the church vestibule before departing for burial at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.


The family is at the home.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615, or to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 558 Hampton Avenue, Pickens, SC 29671.
