DECATUR - Ronald Lee Scroggins, 65 of Charleston, formerly of Decatur, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 4, 2006 in his home. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, May 8, 2006 in Graceland Cemetery, with Military Rites by the Macon County Honor Guard. Private visitation for the family will be held prior to services. Memorials are suggested to the Charity of Choice. Ronald was born on March 13, 1941 in Rockford, IL a son of Nelson Edward and Mae (Brummett) Scroggins. He had worked at Caterpillar and for the Wabash Railroad. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his daughters- Tami Leigh of Pontiac, Ronda Hartman of Bloomington and Colene Smith and husband Ed of Bellville, brothers- Raymond Scroggins of Mt. Zion and James Scroggins of Decatur, sister- Joanna Pearson of Navarro, FL, 5 grandchildren- Caleb Leigh, Reid Hebert, Dominique, Demi and DeMarcus Smith.
