Evie Lee Peel Trawick
Evie Lee Peel Trawick, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday morning, May 2, 2006, in a Dothan hospital. She was 72.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in the First Baptist Church of Abbeville with the Rev. Michael Whitt officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Texasville Cemetery in Barbour County. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church.

Ms. Trawick was born and reared in Louisville, daughter of the late Bonnie G. Smith and Evie Lee Scroggins Smith. She lived near Texasville before moving to Abbeville in 1980. Ms. Trawick was a retired employee of WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville.
Mrs. Trawick was preceded in death by her former husbands, Franklin Eugene Peel and D. A. Trawick; a son, Kevin Peel; and sister, Bonnie Jean Scott.
Surviving relatives include four sons, Ronald F. Peel and his wife, Brenda Peel, Eufaula; Richard Peel, Slocomb, Greg Peel and his wife, Georgene Peel, Texasville, David Trawick, Abbeville; a brother, Robert Smith and his wife, Joy Smith, Headland; nine grandchildren, Kayce Peel, Jonathan Peel, Scott Peel, Ken Peel, Brian Peel, Kyle Peel, Kayla Peel, Noah Trawick and Michael Graham; two nieces including a special niece, Tommie Jean Sheppard; and three nephews.
