TREVORTON ROAD — Charles A. "Sonny" Feger, 78, of Trevorton Road, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at ManorCare, Sunbury.
Born in Auburn March 11, 1932, he was a son of the late Lovey A. (Long) Feger.
He had been a resident of Trevorton for the past 37 years.
Charles was married Oct. 1, 1953, in Winchester, Va., to the former Bessie J. "Nina" Scroggins [50086], who preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 2003.
Charles entered the U.S. Army for four years of service before transferring to the U.S. Air Force, where he served for more than 20 years. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired from the service in 1972.
He was last employed at Clark's Meat Processing Plant in Irish Valley.
Charles attended Trevorton schools.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of Zerbe Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Cathey R. Feger, of Trevorton Road; a son, David W. Feger, of Trevorton Road; two sisters, Lucille P. Pickering, of Sunbury, and Sharon K. Dietrich, of Williamstown; a family friend, Janice L. Collier, of Elizabethville, nieces and nephews.
FEGER — Charles A. "Sonny" Feger, 78, of Trevorton Road. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton. Officiating will be Mark Dietrich. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trevorton, with military honor guards. Contributions may be made in Charles' memory to the Veterans Memorial Fund, 800 Mahanoy St., Trevorton 17881.
