James Paul Scroggin [41158:N], 79, of Little Rock, AR, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010, after battling cancer.
He was born December 10, 1930, in Little Rock. His parents were Paul [39607:N] and Maggie [41096:N] Scroggin. He was married 43 years to Delila Covington Scroggin [31163:N] who passed away November 1998.
James served his country during the Korean War. After fighting in the war, he spent his life building a reputation for constructing quality custom homes throughout the Little Rock area.
He is survived by his son Jimmy Scroggin [53108:N], wife Nita Chenault Scroggin [53114:N, fb], daughter Susan Edwards [:N], husband Mike [:N]; grandchildren Danielle Scroggin Carrington [53110:N, fb], her husband Reuben [53113:N, fb], Tony Scroggin [53111:N, fb], Jessica Edwards [:N], and Samuel Edwards [:N]; his brother Bob Scroggin [41092:N] and wife Bobbie [41093:N], sisters Rosemary Martin [41153:N], and Pauline Short [41155:N] and her husband Ed [41160:N]; sister-in-law Wanda Sipe and husband Ed; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 4th, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, AR 72117, (501) 835-3515. Viewing will be available prior to service.
