It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William Gene Scroggins, on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Health Park Hospital, Ft. Myers, FL at the age of 74.
William was predeceased by his Parents James “Bill” Scroggins, Marcella Scroggins, Sister Pat Babbs.
“Left to cherish his memory”, William is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn, Sons Jerome, Jeffrey, Michael, Daughter Michelle, and Grandchildren, Emilee, Maggi, Riley, Colby, William, Callie, Sister Doris, Gufstafson, Brother William Scroggins.
William was born in Taylorville, IL September 26, 1944 to William & Marcella Scroggins. He grew up in Taylorville, IL and attended Taylorville High School. It was here in Taylorville where he met his future wife Carolyn. After graduating he worked at Borg-Warner as Machinist repairman for 25 years. In 1989 William relocated to Cape Coral, FL and worked for Priscilla-Murphy Vacation Realty leading their maintenance division on Sanibel & Captiva Island. William loved camping, fishing, and was an avid artist painting and creating unique pieces of art. Later in life William loved visiting & visits from his children and grandchildren whom he adored.
The immediate family will have a private service to take place on December 26, 2018 in Cape Coral, FL.
