Brenda Sue Evitt, 59, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Skyridge Medical Center.
A lifetime resident of Rhea County, Brenda was the daughter of the late Robert [40040] and Lizzie Marie Phipps [40041] Scroggins . She had worked in the food services industry for several years. Brenda was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Ann Evitt [], sisters Joy Gerren [] and Barbara Scroggins [] and brother Robert Yul Scroggins [] .
Survivors include her husband Randle Evitt of Evensville, son Ronald Blake Evitt [] of Evensville, daughter Joyce Elaine Serie [] of Texas, stepson Roger [] Dale Pelfrey of Indiana, brother Ronnie Scroggins [40038, fb] of Dayton, sisters Diane Johnson [] of Graysville, Patty Scroggins [] of Dayton and Rhonda Doss [] of Spring City, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Sherrill officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
