CHERYL LYNN SCROGGINS (NEE BAIN) HOBART, IN Cheryl Lynn Scroggins (nee Bain) [54854], age 65, beloved mother, grandmother and sister of Hobart, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl was born on October 2, 1945 in Pennsylvania to William and Helen Bain, who preceded her in death. She was the loving mother of Edward Scroggins, Jr. [54855] and Jeffrey [54527] (Cynthia [54528]) Scroggins; proud and devoted grand mother of Alexandra [49106, fb] and Arielle [49185, fb]; and cherished sister of Donna Bain of Portage and Shelley (Steve) Williams of Hobart. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cheryl was an animal lover who owned and cherished numerous dogs throughout her life and was a member of Trinity Free Methodist church in Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Private family services will be held on Wednesday.
