The funeral for Mary Sue Scroggins, 84, of Athens will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Rick Craft officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Scroggins was born March 12, 1925, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal First Church in Athens. Survivors include daughters, Joyce Maxwell of Somerville and Linda Motley of Hartselle; sons, Doug Scroggins and Gary Scroggins, both of Athens; sisters, Nancy Harris of Huntsville and Inez Putman of Athens; grandchildren, Shane Maxwell, Brett Maxwell, Jonas Clem, Jada Pendergrass, Julie Young, Charlie Holt, Allison Scroggins and Lisa Newman; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Shane Maxwell, Brett Maxwell, Jonas Clem, Charlie Holt, Shawn Pendergrass and Jud Young.

Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. to start of funeral services at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
