SCROGGINS, Rusty "Doc," Retired T/SGT, USAF, age 49 passed away Saturday morning, March 21, 2009. Mr. Scroggins was a resident of Prattville, AL since 1989. Mr. Scroggins was a 1977 Graduate of Valley High in Valley, AL. While serving our country 20 years in the US Air Force, TSgt Scroggins served in the weapons and then communications field. After retiring from the US Air Force, Mr. Scroggins worked at PSI, Inc. as the Network Communications Manager. Mr. Scroggins was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved all his family, kids, and grandkids. He was a big teddy bear who loved all and all loved him. Mr. Scroggins is survived by his loving wife, Carol Scroggins; two devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Rodney Price, Mechelle and Kirk McKinley; one son, Jimmie Rogers. His heart belonged to his four grandchildren Ariel, Tiffany, Allen and Dean; one sister and brother-in-law, Candace and Carey Wilkerson of Opelika, AL; one brother, Don Scroggins of Fairhope, AL. Mr. Scroggins was preceded in death by his parents, George and Barbara Scroggins and a sister, Barbara Walls McGhan. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ridout's Prattville Chapel. Mr. Scroggins will lie in state at First Christian Church of Riverview in Valley, AL from 12:00 p.m. (EDST) until 2:00 p.m. (EDST) on Friday, March 27, 2009. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. (EDST) with Rev. Frank Rittenberry and Rev. Allen Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with full Military honors. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church of Riverview, Valley, AL and Baptist Hospice. MR. SCROGGINS PRATTVILLE, Ala. - Technical Sgt. Rusty "Doc" Scroggins, USAF retired, 49, of Prattville died Saturday, March 21, 2009.

Funeral services are planned for Friday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at Riverview First Christian Church with the Revs. Frank Rittenberry and Allen Hollis officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Valley with full military honors.

Mr. Scroggins will lie in state at the church Friday from noon until 2 p.m.

Mr. Scroggins is survived by his loving wife, Carol Scroggins; two devoted daughters, Crystal (Rodney) Price and Mechelle (Kirk) McKinley; one son, Jimmie Rogers; one sister, Candace (Carey) Wilkerson of Opelika; and one brother, Don Scroggins of Fairhope, Ala. His heart belonged to his four grandchildren, Ariel, Tiffany, Allen and Dean; A 1977 graduate of Valley High School, Mr.
