Notice for Burelle Morrisey

Message: Burelle Morrisey 1927 - 2008 Burelle Morrisey, age 81, of Baker, Fla., passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Silvercrest Manor. He was born in Laurel Hill, Fla., on March 1, 1927, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Burelle was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for many years as a foreman with Fleming Sawmill. Burrelle is survived by his wife of 59 years, Isabelle Morrisey of Baker; two sons, Kenny Morrisey and his wife Linda of Baker, and Randal Morrisey of Baker; two daughters, Becky Youngblood and her husband Jimmy of Ozark, Ala., and Donna Sikes and her husband Donald of Baker. He is also survived by a sister, Roselle Scroggins of Crestview, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday at the chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Ensminger officiating. Burial will follow in Griffith Cemetery. Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
