On Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Howard University Hospital, DANIEL McKINLEY MERCER, SR. Beloved husband of the late Ella Louise Mercer; father of Barbara M. (Francis) Smith, Trina K. Law, Joye R. Walker, Daniel M. Mercer, Jr., Charles E. Brown; grandfather of Robynne Hawkins, Tracie Thomas, Tony A. Law Jr., Trineeka Law, Christopher and Carrie Brown; brother of Samuel (Dora) Mercer, Mary Jane Faulks; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his former wife, Nellie Scroggins-Mayo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1225 R Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 Noon. Interment Maryland National Memorial Park. Arrangements by McGUIRE.
