LIFELONG RESIDENT OF COMMUNITY DEAD

Mrs. J. F. Ross, Jr., Was Born And Raised in Rockwell City; Aged 36

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Rockwell City Christian church for Mrs. John F. Ross, Jr., of southwest of Rockwell City, who died suddenly Wednesday night at the age of 36.
Rev. Roy B. Weakland, pastor of the Christian church in Lake City, conducted the services.  Mrs. Ross was laid to rest in Lake Creek cemetery.

She had suffered from heart trouble most of her life.  Death followed a hear attack at a hospital in Lake City, where she had recently been a patient.

Mrs. Ross had been born in Rockwell City and spent her entire life in this community.  She graduated from Rockwell City high school in the class of 1920 and taught one year in a Calhoun County rural school.

Surviving are Mr. Ross and four children, Junior, Mary Jane, Dale, and Eldon; two brothers, Earl Scroggins of Rockwell City and Darwin Fisher of Laurens; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hortsman of Rockwell City and Mrs. Claude Wisthoff of Fort Dodge; and several uncles and aunts and other relatives.
