A 22-year-old male resident of the 1400 block of Smyth reported an incident of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon occurring between 7:45-8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jeremy Nathaniel Alonzo reported that while playing basketball, he and a friend were approached by a car full of unknown individuals. A confrontation occurred and the suspects fired two or three shots at the victim, hitting him in the leg. He was taken to Covenant Hospital Plainview and remained in stable condition at Covenant Hospital Lubbock this morning. No arrests have been made. •Officials at Plainview High School, 1501 Quincy, reported the theft of $2,428.75 from a safe by an unknown person about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. •A resident of the 2400 block of East Fifth reported the theft of two pit bulls from a kennel located in the front yard of the residence about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Total loss was set at $1,800. •Rio Concho Mobile Home Park, 4201 Dimmitt Road, reported a known person did $1,500 da!
mage to the siding on a residence by striking it with an unknown object about 7 p.m. Wednesday. •Flow Serve, 1305 N. Columbia, reported a burglary occurring between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in which an unknown person pried the tin back from the corner wall of the building with a wooden board, causing $750 damage. Taken was $300 in cash. •A resident of the 900 block of Smyth reported unknown persons did $700 damage to a purple Chevrolet Cavalier while fighting with each other at Kwick Food Mart, 1506 Quincy, about noon Wednesday. •A resident of the 1600 block of Kokomo reported an unknown person did $350 damage to a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup by shooting the passenger side door with an unknown weapon between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. •A 47-year-old female resident of the 2600 block of Joliet reported an assault occurring between 10-10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Walter Jackson in which two known females assaulted her,!

7 Itasca was arrested in the 2000 block of Houston about 4:15 a.m. today and charged with criminal trespass of a habitation. He is being held at Hale County jail on $2,500 bond. •Cirillo Diaz Jr., 19, 1602 W. 16th, and Waldo Mazriegos, 19, 809 Independence, were arrested about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday and charged with evading arrest after fleeing from police officers attempting to question them.
