MAX GARCIA JUNE 8, 1913 - MARCH 9, 2006 Max passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the age of 92. He was born on June 8, 1913 in Juancho Rey, Zacatecas, Mexico.He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary; his brother, Felix and his sister, Juanita.

Max is survived by his two children; Lisa Scroggin and her husband Jim; Dan Garcia and his wife, Jennie; four grandchildren, Andrea Pezoldt and her husband, Brad, Ray Scroggin, Karen Garcia and Annie Garcia; two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Max Pezoldt; brother, Manuel Garcia and sisters, Penny Casado, Marie Biagi & Benita Tirado, many nieces and nephews.

Max was a long time resident of Riverbank, CA before moving to Fresno. In Riverbank, he was a member of St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church, a past member of the Lion's Club, volunteer Fire Department and the Riverbank Housing Authority. In Fresno he was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4440.

A special thank you to the staff at Nancy Hinds Hospice and at Somerford Place for their care and concern during Max's illness.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Rosary.

Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church in Riverbank, CA at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto, CA.
