Shelby Scroggins, 72, of Austin died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at his home.

Mr. Scroggins was born June 16, 1933, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a member of Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include his uncle and aunt, Buford and Katherine Blake of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
