FORT WORTH -- Robbie Mae Starr , 79, a retired daycare manager, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Albert E. Chew Jr. officiating. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with family hour 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the chapel of historic Baker Funeral Home.

Robbie Mae Starr was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Marlin. She was a 1945 graduate of historic I.M. Terrell. Along with serving in many capacities at Shiloh Baptist Church, she was a life member of the NAACP, a member of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Eastern Star Rockwood Hardeman Court #423, and Verdia C. Gratts Social and Art Club.

Survivors: Husband, Robert E. Starr [54211:&] ; daughter, Barbara Ann Starr [54213:&]; nieces, Doris Ann Smith, Joe Ella Sims, Dollye Starr Thomas and Alice Headroe, all of Fort Worth, and Jo Ree Graves and Darlene Randall, both of Houston; nephew, Johnny Lee Starr of Palo Alto, Calif.; and cousins, Velma Tate Washington of Los Angeles, Calif., and Catherine H. Christian of Fort Worth.
