Deceased Name: David Leon Collins
was born July 24, 1969 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Harvey Ray and Mandy Carole ( Scroggins ) Collins. He grew up in Wagoner and lived in Cherokee County, including Hulbert, Oklahoma before moving back to Wagoner. He was formerly employed at the Bush Brothers Cannery in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he was part of the cleanup crew and drove a forklift. Some of David's favorite pastimes include hunting, watching wrestling, and working on cars, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his grand-babies. David will always be remembered for his friendliness and outgoing nature. Surrounded by family and friends, David departed this life on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his home in Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Collins; his grandparents; a brother, Mark Clifton Collins; two brothers-in-law, Mark Helmer and Jared Ruffino; five uncles and three aunts. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue (Cole) Collins, of the home; two daughters, Melissa Collins and Pamela Collins, both of the home; two grand-daughters, Nevaeh Risley and Elizabeth Grace Risley; two grandsons, Cy Schoenecke and Emerson Schoenecke; his mother, Mandy Collins of Wagoner; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Gypsy Collins of Ozark, Missouri, Dale and Tammy Collins and Clarence and Danyell Collins, all of Wagoner; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lesia Helmer of Wagoner; Carolyn and Will Tygart of Broken Arrow and Bessie and Cory Bloxsom of Wagoner; other relatives and friends, including two special "brothers", Shane North and Paul Allen, both of Wagoner. Family and friends gathered for a Visitation and Viewing Friday evening from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. The Funeral Service was at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Lisa Sowers officiated. Interment was in Bennett Addition of Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers were Shane North, Paul Allen, Jerry Merrell, Tony Ponds, Cory Bloxsom, and Daniel Collins. Honorary pallbearers were Boyd Cagle, Michael Helmer, Dustin Dorr, Mike Rice, Tommy Mullen, Jeffery Helmer, Sydney Virgil, and a special honorary pallbearer, Brayden Miller.
