BOONVILLE - Carrie Scroggins, 91, of Boonville, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday April 5, 2014 at her home in Boonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 12, 2014 at
Burns Freewill Baptist Church in Sedalia. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of HT May & Son Funeral Home in Boonville.

Carrie Scroggins, 91, of Boonville, formerly of Sedalia slept into the arms of Jesus on Saturday April 5, 2014 at her home in Boonville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 2 pm at Burns Freewill Baptist Church in Sedalia. The visitation will be held from 1-2 pm at the church.
Ms. Carrie Bell was born in Speed, MO November 12, 1922 to Eugene Arthur Miller and Carrie Belle Jackson Miller.
Ms. Carrie Bell moved to Tipton, MO, attended and graduated from HarrisonSchool. She moved to Sedalia in 1946 to live with her uncle Burt Miller and his wife Mable.
Ms. Carrie Bell was an employee of Swift Chicken Plant, a cook at the Coffee Pot Café, and a child care provider. Ms. Carrie was recognized by the state for excellence in daycare.
Ms. Carrie Bell was a loyal Christian at Burns Chapel FWB Church and a member of the Mother Board.
After her massive heart attack in January 2012 Ms. Carrie bell was moved from Sedalia to Boonville to live with her daughter Shirley Maxine, after living in Sedalia, on Pettis Street for more than 62 years.
Ms. Carrie Bell was called home on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 9:08 PM. She leaves to mourn and cherish her love, children of the late Ed Scroggins, five daughters; Shirley Maxine Miller-Rowles (the late Rev. Amos McGowan), Katie E. Cason Clark of Sedalia, Rita Cason Jones of St. Louis, Deborah L. Cason of Sedalia, and Stephanie Ann Miller Cason (Anthony Mitchell) of Sedalia. She also leaves three sons; Anthony L. Reed-Cason (Naomi) of Georgia, Philip H. Reed-Cason of Kansas City, MO, and Donald E. Reed-Cason of Sedalia; a host of step-children, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many many friends.
