Betty Irene Scroggins
July 25, 1921 - April 7, 2014

Betty Irene Harris Scroggins [38529:N, 92, passed away April 7, 2014 in Oklahoma City. She was born July 25, 1921 in Ryan, OK to George W. and Emma B. Harris. The family moved to Wynona, OK where Betty lived during her school years. She graduated from Wynona High School in 1940. She moved to Oklahoma City and worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. Then she was with Oklahoma Mortgage for a number of years. She married her high school sweetheart, Willie H. (Bill) Scroggins [38526:N], on May 18, 1944 and spent 59 wonderful years together. Betty was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church for 54 years. Betty and Bill served together in many positions at Epworth, and were especially proud of their involvement with the Hearing Impaired Services. After Bill's retirement, they enjoyed many years traveling around the world with their travel club. Betty was preceded in death by husband Bill, parents George and Emma Harris, and sisters Ethel Falletti and Juanita Moore. She is survived by her niece, Betty Foster, several nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 10, at 11:00am at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of ones choice.
