Bobby Bennett, age 72, went to be with the lord on January 7, 2014. He was a son of the late Joseph James Bennett [42842:P] and Elva "Scroggins" Bennett [42831:P]. Bobby worked at Arkansas Electric Cooperative for 16 years, before working as an inspector for Malone and Associates for 27 years, and later he worked as an Inspector for the Plumerville Municipal Water Company where he retired after 7 years at the age of 70. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, when he was not racing dirt track stock cars, or playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Betty [52769:P]; three daughters, Sheila Lynn Bennett [52770:P, fb], of Burlison, Tennessee, Sherri Lee [52771:P, fb], of Southaven, Mississippi, Sandy Sitton [52772:P], of Hernando, Mississippi; two sisters, his twin Shirley Marie Gunderman [52773:P], of Morrilton, and Margaret Lanni [52774:P], of Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Plumerville United Methodist Church with Bro. Von Dell Mooney and Pastor Keith Coker officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Friday.
