Bobbie Jean Scroggins-Novak went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at the age of 87. The fifth of seven children born to Glen Uly and Josephine (McMillian) Koontz, Bobbie was born December 14, 1928 in Ada, Oklahoma. After graduating from Ada High School, Bobbie met O.C. “Spud” Scroggins on June 7, 1946 after World War II. They were married just a few short months later on August 30, 1946. Together they shared more than 32 wonderful years together and raised four sons, before his passing on July 6, 1978. A loving wife and devoted mother, Bobbie was very active in her sons’ activities while they were growing up including, cub scouts, little league baseball, football, and wrestling. On October 14, 1988, Bobbie married her second husband, Leonard Novak and gained a second family including two daughters. She and Leonard were married for 10 years before his passing on August 10, 1998. Bobbie worked as a substitute teacher with the OKC Public School System for 8 years, as well as, Western Heights and Moore School Districts. Bobbie had a servant’s heart. In addition to working, she also volunteered working as a nursing assistant at Southwest Medical Center, volunteering as a poll worker during elections, and was an active member of Southern Hills Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter. She also loved working in her years. She will be deeply missed by all.

parents;
two husbands; O.C. “Spud” Scroggins and Leonard Novak;
4 brothers: Gerald, G.U., Donald Lee and Lindell Koontz;
2 sisters: Lorene Fallis and Christine Folger.

She is survived by her:
4 Sons: Carl Richard, Johnny Glen, Jimmy Curtis and Donny Gene Scroggins; Leonard’s daughters, Nan Kilby and Jan Nelson;
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren;
many other extended family and friends.
