Joy Nadine Culp, 86, former Stephens County resident, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, Oklahoma with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Friday morning 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Nadine was born Jan. 19, 1930, at Rocky, Oklahoma to Thomas A. and Mabel ( Scroggins ) Nowlin. She graduated Arapaho High School in 1947 and attended Red River Co-Tech in Duncan.
Nadine was employed with Halliburton Services 25 years. She then worked for Walmart eight-and-a-half years. She also owned a Craft Shop, "Peddlers Porch" for four years.
She was an active member of Eastside Church of Christ, the BPW, AARP, American Legion and served on the Marlow Senior Citizen Board. She enjoyed machine embroidery, reading and gardening. Nadine also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo at the assisted living home and helping others.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon King and husband Robert of Cartwright, Oklahoma and Deborah Lee of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas W. Nowlin; a daughter, Pamela Baker; a great-granddaughter, Ava Abraham; and two husbands, Richard Adams and Art Culp.
