Vivian Marie Riley Scroggins (Bibby), 91, with a song on her lips and joy in her heart went to her heavenly home on September 15, 2016.
Vivian grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, but moved to San Diego, California in the mid 1950's where she worked as an executive secretary for General Dynamics. Upon retirement, she and her husband returned to the south.
She loved her family and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. She enjoyed music, cooking and meeting people. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
Mrs. Scroggins was preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. and Eldora Riley; her husband of 69 years, Harry E. Scroggins; two brothers, Charles D. Riley, Jr. and George F. Riley.
She is survived by two sisters, Martha L. Hurst of Las Vegas, Nevada and Patricia Bush of Clinton; one brother, John Michael Riley of San Juan Capistrano, California; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews - all who loved her dearly.
A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. September 22, 2016 at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Harmony Court Assisted Living in Jackson for the excellent care and love shown to Vivian this past year.
