Funeral services for Dewey Nelson Scroggins [14921], 73, of Natchez, who died Wednesday June 22, 2016 at his residence, will be 11 am Friday June 24, 2016 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jacob Howington officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 am Friday until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Scroggins was born at Vicksburg the son of Dewey Scroggins [14923] and Sara Fuller Scroggins [14924]. He was a retired Salesman for an Oil Field Company. Mr. Scroggins was a member of Trace City Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter-in-law, Hiromi Scroggins [tba].

Survivors include his wife of 51 and half years, Rebecca “Pennye” Irwin Scroggins [14924]; two sons, Mitchell Nelson Scroggins [14925, fb] and wife, Natalie [52069, fb]  of Natchez, Brad Ivan Scroggins [14926] and wife, Stephanie [tba] of St. Louis, MO; three granddaughters, Teresa Marie Scroggins of San Diego, Ca, Brittany Lemay Scroggins [38272, fb] and Amber Nicole Scroggins [52070] both of Natchez; two grandsons, Jonathon Nelson Scroggins [tba] and Brad Ivan Scroggins, Jr. [tba] both of San Diego, CA; one sister, Fran Martin [31386] and husband Freddie  [38270]of Baytown, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Tim McCary, Daniel Cavin, Jr. Josh Stricklin, Billy Ray Tanner, Tacoma Stricklin, and Terrell Foster.
