Robert Matthew Stephens, age 43, of Independence, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. He was a former Manager for You Save Auto Repair in Covington, KY. Matt enjoyed playing darts, photography, and music, including deejaying local events. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Long Stephens; children, Matthew Blake Stephens, Logan Paul Stephens, and Lauren Paige Stephens; sister, Carrie Herrmann (Deric); parents, Robert and Patricia Stephens; paternal grandmother, Mary Stephens; and maternal grandmother, Melva Scroggin. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services immediately following at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence.
