Let the following be told in loving memory of Corey Jerome “Foot” Smith. On December 5, 2015, Corey suffered death.
Our beloved Corey was born June 16, 1983 at Hope Medical Park in Hope, Arkansas to Malcolm Jerome Smith [tba] and Sharon Annette Scroggins-Swift [37072:&].
Corey attended school in Nashville, Arkansas, where he graduated in the year 2001. He was a true Scrapper. He played football and participated in various other extra-curricular activities.
If you did not get a chance to meet Corey, you missed out on someone special.
Corey was preceded in death by grandparents, Leo [30453:&] and Ruth Helen Scroggins [30451:&, FaG:136662864] and his uncles, Cleo Scroggins [tba] and Lee Autry Scroggins [34911].
Among the living left behind include his parents, Sharon 37073:&] and Billy Swift [37318:&] , Jerome Smith; grandmothers, Verna Sewell and JoAnn Scroggins; two children, Cameri Smith of Charleston, Arkansas and Calek Javan Smith of Prescott, Arkansas; two sisters, Aniyah Nicole Smith and Mid Dawn Smith; two aunts, Helen Spencer [37071:&] (Leroy) and Karen Rayfield [37074:&] (Artie); uncle, Eundra Scroggins [34912:&] all from his mother’s side of the family; and a special friend, Lekecia Box and her children, Tywan and Tidorian Thompson.
In the Smith family, he is survived by two aunts, Tammie Henderson and Sheree’ Henderson; three uncles, Leonard Henderson, Vincent Henderson and Jerry Smith; and a host of other relatives, cousins and friends who will never forget him.
Visitation will be held 11am-5pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Sixth Street Auditorium in Nashville. Burial will be at Graves Cemetery in Hickory Grove. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
