Mary Beth Scroggin was born on December 28, 1934 in Brown County, Texas to Teddy Roosevelt Miller and Annie Lee Henderson Miller. Mary Beth Scroggin passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015, in Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wendell Scroggin her children, Beth Ann [54191:P, fb] & Patrick Tracy, Sharon [54192:P, fb] & Donnie Ward, and Lisa [54193:P] & Jim McCain; grandchildren, Ramey O’Brien & Kearin Miller, Wendy & Kevin Hoffman, Mary Tracy, Lindsey Tracy & Chris Reid, Jason & Nikole Ward, Josh Ward & Dan Person, Bobby & Rachel Schuman, Ryan & Rachel Schuman, Ashton & Lacee Schuman, Mitchell McCain, and Alaina & James Sheridan; 10½ great grandchildren; her brother & sister-in-law, Everett & Lois Miller; four nieces and one nephew. Mary, better known as “Nana” was well known for the beautiful baby blankets that she made for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even prepared blankets for future babies. She was also notorious for the cakes that she made. She loved to entertain, cook, loved her girls and loved her “Paw”. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 with a reception to immediately follow.
