Dora Ellen "Do Do" Scroggins, age 63, of Commiskey, Indiana, entered this life on Sept. 13, 1951 in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Thomas James and Amanda Francis Dean Scroggins. She was raised in Jefferson County and was a 1969 graduate of Southwestern High School. She later attended Ivy Tech and graduated in 1992. She was an attendant for several years at Madison State Hospital and then worked as a clerk for OVO in Madison. She then worked as an LPN for King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison from 1992-1998 and then for Scroggins Nursing and Home Health from 1998-2001. Do Do was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church near Hanover. She was a loving mother, devoted mamaw, sister and aunt. She enjoyed QVC, television, grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Dora died on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at 8:40 a.m. at the Mose H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Dora will be missed by her loving son, Brian Thomas Scroggins [48749:D] and his wife, Traci [48746:D, fb] of Greensboro, North Carolina; her adoring grandchildren [48747:D, fb, & 48748:D]; her loving brothers, Tom Scroggins of Madison, Indiana, Bill Scroggins and his wife, Brenda [50761:D, fb] of Hanover, Indiana, Richard "Dick" Scroggins and his wife, Kathy of Commiskey, Indiana, Michael Scroggins of Madison, Indiana; her loving sister, Nancy Wheeler of Hanover, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas James [39010:D] and Amanda Francis Dean Scroggins [53819:D], her brothers, Harry Gladden and David Bennett, her brother in law, John Wheeler, her nephews, Rick Wheeler, and Clint Scroggins.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., by Pastor Jeff Hood at the First Marion Baptist Church in Marion Township near Commiskey, Indiana. Interment will follow in the First Marion Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion Township near Commiskey, Indiana

Friends may call Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the First Marion Baptist Church in Marion Township near Commiskey, Indiana.
