Charles Ronald “Chip” Clark II

Mr. Charles Ronald “Chip” Clark, II, 44, Physicians Assistant and resident of Hardison Road, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes &Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Jackson and Dr. Omar Hamada officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

A native of Columbia, Chip was the son of Charles Ronald Clark, I [39338:C], and Bertha Scroggins Clark [22020"C] of Columbia. He was Valedictorian of Spring Hill High School Class of 1987 and was in the top 10 in his class at Columbia State Community College before earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Memphis State and his Physician’s Assistant degree from Trevecca College in Nashville. Chip was employed by Team Health as a Physician’s Assistant in the Emergency Room at Maury Regional Medical Center.

He had volunteered on a medical mission trip to Swaziland and Mozambique in Africa. Chip loved assisting the Zion Christian Academy Trap Shooting Team where his son is a member. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Keli Edwards Clark of Columbia; sons, Mitchell, Caleb, Eli all of Columbia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins and a host of special friends.

Active pallbearers include Rodney Patterson, Jeff Helgren, Bill Brooks, Jeff Foster, Marty Clark, Allen Cantrell, Robert Edwards, Eddy Johnson, Terry Sargent and Robert Wayne Clark.

Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Jase Dean, Dr. Shawn Gentry, Larry McClure, Don Kerce and Chandler Anderson.
