USTICK, Marjorie T. 93, of Springfield, passed away Friday morning, February 21, 2014 in The Legacy at Forest Glen following several years of failing health. She was born in Galt, Ontario, Canada on September 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas [49836:I] and Clara (Scroggins) [49939:I] Brown.

After completing high school, Marj briefly worked at the family business, Scroggins Shoe Company and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where she met Robert W. Ustick II, an officer in the RCAF. They married on June 18, 1946 and moved to Bob's home town of Springfield, Ohio. Bob's career with Sears gave the family the adventure of moving to ten different cities across the U.S. before returning to Springfield in 1971. Marj was active in the Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Young Women's Mission. Forever the homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Marj and Bob loved to travel and their trips took them across the U.S., Canada and the British Isles.

She is survived by her three children, Judy Lachey (Ken) of Springfield, Robert W. "Trey" Ustick III of San Diego, California and Jeffrey B. Ustick (Susan Murnen) of Felton, California; four grandchildren, Robert W. "Riev" Ustick IV (Vanessa), Casey Ustick, Brenna Ustick, and Cara Ustick; a great grandson, Maddox Ustick; a nephew, John Dowding [52965:I] (Cheryl Armstrong [52968:I]); and a niece, Terri Dowding [52966:I] (Harold Hall [52967:I]). She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997 and a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth [52963:I] and Jack [52964:I] Dowding.
