Park Hill, OK – Funeral services for David Allen Walker will be held Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Ben Morgan officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2nd, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Walker Cemetery in Park Hill, Oklahoma. Pallbearers for David include Mark Walker, Billie Carr, Robert Carr, William Walker, Jesse Fair, and Heath Bryan. Honorary pallbearers include Jackie Walker, Adam Adair, Paul Adair Jr., William Denwalt, Ricky Walker, Michael Eubanks, DonAllen Eubanks, and Victor Adair.
David Allen Walker was born June 22nd, 1940 in Qualls, Oklahoma, the son of Onni and Easter Lilly (Reynolds) Walker. He married the love of his life, Jessie (Scroggins) Walker on February 26th, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This union enjoyed 53 years and was blessed with five children. David was the pastor of Come and Dine Church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where he always offered a helping hand to anyone in need. He would keep you on your toes because sometimes you would find out he was listening when you least expected. As an outdoorsman, David loved to hunt and fish or simply set by the water to feed day old bread to the fish. When he wasn't working at the church, he enjoyed yard selling, prospecting, or driving around with his wife to enjoy the scenery. David spent much of his time keeping up with his garden and farming. You could find him riding around the pasture in his old red truck. The Lord called David to his eternal home on November 28th, 2013 at his home in Park Hill. David was 73 years old.
David is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack and William; three sisters, Marie, Linda, and Gloria; three children, David Jr., Wesley, and Karen; and one granddaughter, Mayleigh.
Those left to cherish his memory include wife, Jessie Walker of Park Hill, two brothers and one sister, Troy Lee Walker and wife Faye of Locust Grove, Leonard Lee Walker and wife Emma of Tahlequah, and Rosie Eubanks of Tahlequah, three sons, Danny Walker and wife Sheila of Gore, William Walker and Victor Adair both of Tahlequah. David's legacy lives on in his four grandchildren, Jesse fair, Danelle Walker, Masyn Walker, and Cassandra Adair; one great grandchild, Nova Adair, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
