BONHAM - Funeral services for Cheryl Lynn Spann, 59, of Telephone will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at Telephone Baptist Church. Rev. Brian Everett and Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Bigbee Cemetery. Mrs. Spann passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
Cheryl Lynn (Hicks) Spann was born in Bonham, Texas on Feb. 12, 1953 to Lynn and Evelyn Mae (Scroggins) [51531:C] Hicks. She married Billy Spann on Aug. 24, 1996 in Telephone. Cheryl retired from Blue Cross-Blue Shield as a claims processor, and is a member of Telephone Baptist Church.
She is survived by husband, Billy Spann of Telephone; son, Darrin Jones and wife Jennifer of Telephone; daughter, Briane Hall and husband Justin of Sherman; stepson, Chris Spann and wife Sue of Bailey, Texas; stepdaughter, Cyndi Lauterbach and husband Tyson of Bailey; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Evelyn Hicks of Bonham; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by father Lynn Hicks.
Serving as pallbearers will be the men of the Young Couples Sunday School class.
Family vitiation will be held prior to the service starting at 1 p.m. at Telephone Baptist Church on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
