Doris Ellen (Scroggins) Bull of Daleville, AL passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the family residence. She was 75.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Level Plains with Rev. James Adam Mulliner officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home on Monday from 6 until 8 pm.
Mrs. Bull was born June 3, 1937 in Andalusia, AL and was raised in Covington County. She worked in the insurance industry until she married and moved to Enterprise. She had five children she loved and raised while working as a seamstress. She later met and married the love of her life, Thomas S. Bull. They enjoyed twenty years together while being a central part of their five children’s and 12 grandchildren’s lives before Thomas passed away in 2003. She became the great grandmother to 12 beautiful babies. In the last few years she began collecting vintage jewelry for her children and grandchildren. She delighted in finding just the right pieces for each of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Carrie Jones Scroggins, her husband, Thomas S. Bull, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Max Stuart Skinner, Daleville, AL; four daughters: Laura Plentis (Walter), Waterford, MI, Nancy Foss (Bruce), Daleville, AL, Tara Jackson (Freddy), Ozark, AL, Tammy Hutto (Paul), Enterprise, AL; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
