Cooper, Walter G. Age 95, of Hopkins, MN. Passed away on December 15, 2011. Preceded in death by ever loving wife, Norma [42978:L]; sister, Helen Cook; brother, George (Francis) Cooper and parents. Survived by daughter, Sandra Scroggins [42975:L]; son, Gary (Susan) Cooper; grandchildren, Justin [26547:L], Julie [12179:L] (Beto), Michael (Erica), Katie (Joe); great grandchildren, Luca and Emiliano; nieces, nephews and friend, Michael Scroggins. During 42 months in service, served aboard the Battleship U.S.S. New Jersey from commissioning to end of WWII earning 4 Ribbons and 11 Battle Stars. Member of Fred Babcock VFW Post 5555. Memorial service 11 AM Wednesday, December 21st at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. So., Edina (952)924-4100. Visitation at 10 AM. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Autism Society or Augustana Chapel View Care Center, Hopkins, MN.
