Melvin Scroggins 72 of Old Snake River died Sunday November 6, 2011 at his residence.
Melvin was born on June 7, 1939 in Woodsbrough TX, to Buford Melvin Scroggins Sr [10598:U0 and Perry Lee Anders Scroggins [10597:U]. He had lived in Old Snake River community for thirty-six years. and was a retired pipefitter with local Union#211 of Houston and a U.S. Airfoce veteran. Survivors are his wife Mary Beth Scroggins [10633:U] of Old Snake River, sons Randy [10634"U] and Tammy, Whoppy, Michael [10635:U], J.W. and Christy. Daughters are Mary and Tom and Dee Doll also survived are 2 brothers and 1 sister. Grandchildren are Stephanie, Jodie, Tina Jessica, Mark, Mikey, T.J., Kurt, "Taylor Number 1". Great Grandchildren are Taylor, Kaitlyn, Josee, Sage, Jana, Kaylee, Kennedy, Sky, Travis,"Trav", Jace, Justin, Zane. There will be a service of remembrance at the graveside on Thursday November 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at The Scroggins Family cemetery located on the Scroggins property at 702 CR 2573 Old Snake River Community.
