Funeral services for Mrs. Dena Marie Scroggins, age 42, of Eufaula, will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., at Southpoint Church with the Rev. Chris Toole and the Rev. Jeff Cochran officiating. Burial will be held in the Shellman Bluff Baptist Church cemetery near Savannah, Ga., at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Sept. 24, with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.

Mrs. Scroggins died Tuesday, Sept. 20, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Born Jan. 21, 1969 in Ft. Rucker, Ala., Mrs. Scroggins was the daughter of Ina Janice Arledge Crawford of Eufaula and the late David Hodges Crawford.

Mrs. Scroggins was a member of Southpoint Church where she loved the children's choir. She was an X Ray Technician Mommographer for 17 years at Southwest Georgia Unity Hospital for 4 years. She enjoyed the beach, swimming, fishing and the outdoors. She was a dedicated mother.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Southpoint Church Student Ministry or to the Scroggins children's trust fund at Farmers Exchange Bank in Eufaula.

Survivors other than her mother include: her husband, Heath Scroggins [30100], Eufaula; her children, Dean Mallie Scott, Rebecca Alain Scott and Maison Lee Scroggins; brother, John David Crawford, Eufaula; mother and father in law, Janet [30098] and Ronnie Scroggins [30097], Eufaula; her aunt, Elaine (Dale) Scarborough, Savannah, Ga.; her cousin, Shanda Padilla, Savannah, Ga.

Active pallbearers will be John Castleberry, Scott Rutherford, Benny Paul Whitehead, Britt Washington, Jimmy King, John Crawford, Ron Scroggins and Reagen Scroggins.
