Violet Scroggins
Violet M. Scroggins, nee Sharp, 72, of Cahokia, Ill., born Aug. 14, 1937, in McCrory, Ark., died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Scroggins was the owner of Cahokia Heating and Air Conditioning.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. A. D. Scroggins [30282]; a son, Harry Scroggins [37393]; her parents, Prentice and Ethel Sharp; five brothers, Earl, Bobby, Victor, Matthew, and Leo Sharp; two sisters, Pauline Bewley and Betty Wheeler; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Scroggins.
Surviving are her three daughters, Deborah (Howard) Adamson of Cahokia, Ill., Yonnie (Carl) Coffman of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Amber Scroggins of Omaha, Ark.; four sons, Phillip (Nancy) Portwood of Desoto, Mo., Danny (Terri) Scroggins of St. Louis, Mo., David Scroggins of Orlando, Fla., and Roger Dale (Debbie) Scroggins of Mascoutah, Ill.; her brother, Larry (Claudia) Sharp of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Bobby Wheeler of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Betty Sharp of Cahokia, Ill.; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend to everyone.

Funeral:
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill., with Reverend James Wood officiating. Interment will be in Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Ill.
