LIBERTY, MO- Tony Ray Worford, II, 30, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010. He was born September 4, 1979 in Topeka, Kansas. He is the son of Tony Ray Worford and Corliss Scroggins Worford Lawson. He attended Topeka Public Schools until his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee and later to Fayetteville, Georgia where he played football and graduated from Fayetteville High School. He then attended Gordon College prior to serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a HVAC Engineer at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He is survived by his mother, Corliss Scroggins Lawson [41653], one sister, Courtney Nichelle Worford, two nephews, Jalen Ray and Malachi Kerry Worford, his maternal grandparents, Troy, Sr. and Irma Scroggins, six uncles, Dr. Troy Scroggins, Jr., Michael Worford, Carlton Scroggins, Gregory Worford, Clinton Scroggins (Carol), and Kent Worford (Jean). He also is survived by a host of cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Ray Worford, his paternal grandparents, Audrey and Willie Worford, and two daughters, McKenzie and Tamara Worford. Services will be Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Capital City Community Church of God. The Family will receive visitors on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Dove Cremation and Funeral Services, 4020 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606.
