Genevieve Shirley Everett, 72, of Wagoner, departed this life on Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Tulsa, OK. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Wagoner, where she was a member. Minister Terry Smalling will officiate. A Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, who is in charge of arrangements.Genevieve was born January 8, 1938 in Fort Gibson, OK to Tom and A. Vaneri Brown. She grew up there and graduated from Fort Gibson High School. Her family remembers her as a selfless mother and a natural encourager. Her hobbies included reading, painting, quilting and flower gardening.Genevieve is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank Everett, of the home; five children and their spouses, John Everett of Tulsa, Mark Allen and Debbie Everett of Woodward, OK, Sewell and Julie Everett of Greenwood, AR, Michelle and Marc Scroggins of Wagoner and Phillip A. and Amy Everett of Tulsa; fifteen grandchildren, John Everett, Melissa Clark, Jedidiah Everett, Jacob Everett, Meredith Everett, Jennifer Scroggins, Joshua Everett, Laura Scroggins, Samantha Everett, Naomi Everett, Sara Everett, Marc Scroggins II, Matthew Scroggins, Charles Everett and Ira Benton Everett; three great grandchildren, Kierra Everett, Rose Everett and Catherine Michelle Everett; three brothers, Tommy Homer Brown, Raymond Brown and Roger Dale Brown; a sister, Jo Ann Brown Scott; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, John Emmett Everett.Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
