Nathan Jensen

ISLAND PARK - Nathan K. Jensen, 17, of Island Park, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his home.

He was born January 6, 1993, in Idaho Falls to Jackie Cameron Jensen and Kelly Ray Jensen. He lived in Island Park his entire life and attended school in Ashton. He was a junior at North Fremont High School.

He was very passionate about life, his interests and the people that were close to him.
He enjoyed playing his guitars and was very talented. His ability allowed him to play just about anything. He rode snowmobiles, dirt bikes and snowboarded. By the time he was 16, he had broken all of his limbs doing the things he enjoyed.
Nate worked in the kitchen at Phillips Lodge and touched everyone that he worked with. His wit and sense of humor were incredible.

He is survived by his mother, Jackie Jensen, his father, Kelly Jensen, sister, Riley Jensen, all of Island Park; his grandparents, Paul and Judy Deffinger of Pocatello, Roger Cameron of Pocatello, LaRay Scroggins of Ririe; great-grandmother, Donna Scroggins of Ririe; and his aunt Christie Cameron of Island Park. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Ray Scroggins, and great-grandmother, Mina Cameron.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 14 at the Ashton LDS Stake Center, 516 North Second Street. The family will meet with friends Thursday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the stake center prior to services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton.

A memorial fund has been established for Nate's family at the Bank of Idaho, 3976 U.S. Hwy. 20, Island Park, Idaho 83429.
