Irene Sowers Scroggins passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 9, 1922 in Wagoner to Clifford and Ollie (Buckley) Sowers. Irene married Raymond Scroggins [27876] April 2, 1938 in Wagoner who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Sammul and Arlow Scroggins; her daughter, Linda Fulk; grandson, Tommy Scroggins; her brothers and sister Floyd, Travis and Jr. Sowers, Eddie Blue and Margie Myers and her daughter-in-law, Dena Scroggins [40148:N]. Irene loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed fishing, gardening, church, singing and just life itself. She is survived by her sons, Raymond T. Scroggins {FaG:49845545] and wife Jessie of Wagoner and Glen Scroggins [40149:N[ of Wagoner; grandchildren, Travis "Buddy" Scroggins, Susan Scroggins, Butch Scroggins, Janie Barnett, Rhonda Johnson, Tony Scroggins [, fb] , Glen "Tobey" Scroggins [52953, fb], Raymond Ray Scroggins, Johnnie Lock, Allie Grantham and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 18, 2009 in the Full Gospel Lighthouse with the Reverend Lisa Sowers officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Ray, Bull Grantham, Marshall Lock, Billy Barnett, Tyler Wilson and Warren Scroggins. Honorary pallbearers are Hugh Fulk, Louis Sowers, Jake Scroggins, Dale Scroggins, Alvin Wayne Sowers and Gary Welch.
