ENGLISH Mrs. Jeanette Scroggins English went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2009 at her residence in Jacksonville Florida. Graveside Funeral services for Mrs.English will be held Thursday, August 13th, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Glenwood Cemetery in Thomasaton, Ga. Mrs. English was born in Thomaston, Ga. on April 12th, 1916 and was a 1934 graduate of R.E. Lee High School. She was employed by the Ammunition Plant in Macon, Ga. during World War II. Mrs. English was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Thomaston early in life and later, as she and her family moved to Florida, she became an active member in the Presbyterian Church there as well. Mrs. English loved to work in her garden and with her flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Earl English [38060], sisters, Ann [38065], Grace [], and Mary Kate [38066], brothers, Ben Scroggins [26285] and Hoyt Scroggins [] and also a grandson, Douglas English. Mrs. English is survived by her two sons, Mr. Robert "Bob" (Peggy) English of Jacksonville, Fl., and Mr. Timothy "Tim" (Lynn) English of San Antonio Texas; three grandsons, Bobby English, Steven English and Paul English. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation Thursday, August 13th, 2009 from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. prior to graveside services.
