Services for Jack Shaver, 84, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey and Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Fields Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.Mr. Shaver died Monday at Palestine Health Care. He was born July 27, 1924 in Anderson County to Neely and Clara Gibson Shaver. Mr. Shaver was a car salesman. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII.Mr. Shaver was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen Shaver in 2007, a son Terry Jack Shaver, granddaughter April Shaver, five sisters, Gladys Bost, Hattie Tucker, Helen Holloman, Verna Rosenblum, and Ruby Vickory, two brothers Otis Shaver, and Doc Shaver. He is survived by his sons Donald Shaver and Randy Shaver and wife Louann all of Palestine; daughters Glenda Scroggins [48820] and husband Ken [48823] and Sherry Shaver all of Palestine; a sister Dorothy Dow of Tennessee Colony; three sisters-in-law Madelynn Shaver, Laurie Shaver and Doris Wynne; 11 grandchildren, Stewart Shaver, Scott Shaver, Jamie Woods, Delaina Callahan, Dechelle Castillo, Dara Pace, Shaina Dawson, Kerri Hudgins, Jeremy Jett, Amy Quick, and Deann Leisch; 25 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Stewart Shaver, Scott Shaver, Jeremy Jett, Phillip Castillo, Shon Callahan, and Michael Pace.Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
