CENTRE — Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Ruth Singelton, 79 of Centre, will be at 3 p.m. today at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. today . The Rev. Robert Lyons will be the clergyman. Mrs. Singleton passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 in the Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Skip) Hicks of Choccolocco and Belinda (Dearner) Smith of Centre; brother Ray Scroggen of Huntsville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Singleton was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Emory [36234] and Willie Farrar [36235] Scroggin, was a member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Singleton Perry Funeral Home directing.
