Helen G. Fender, 94, born July 11, 1914 of Springfield passed away January 10, 2009, at Maranatha Village, Springfield, MO. Preceded in death by her husband Wallis Fender [13117] - 1997, Daughter: Jane Marie Sanford [13119] - 1992, Father: James Scroggins [13115], Mother: Beulah Scroggins [13114] , Brother: Paul Scroggins [13116] (all died Sept. 1923.) Adoptive parents: George E. Fender and Maud Fender. She is survived by Son and Wife: Terry Fender [13120] and Carla Orr. Grandchildren, Blain Sanford, Christopher Sanford, David Sanford, Todd Fender, Brian Fender, Heather Mory, 14 great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law and brother-in-laws. Helen was a member and volunteer of Circle 7 at United Methodist Church. Helen and Wallis had many wonderful times at their cabin on Lake of the Ozarks. They enjoyed nature and especially bird-watching. Visitation will be in Greenlawn Funeral Home North January 12, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held January 13, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
