SYLACAUGA—Funeral services for Lillie Coleen Byrd, 81, will be Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Blackmon and Rev. Donald Grice officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Byrd died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband Orbie Dixon Byrd, one daughter, Vivian Lovell Robinson, and four sisters, Vonzelle Marlow, Zella Scroggins, Beatrice Littleton and Edna Limbaugh. Mrs. Byrd is survived by two daughters, Virginia Murphy and Wanda Jo Arnold, and one son, Chad Byrd, all of Sylacauga; two sisters, Jean Bannister of Harpersville and Gertrude Elder of Sylacauga; two brothers, Edward Duncan and Kenneth Duncan, both of Sylacauga; four grandchildren, Kristie Medley, John King, Audey Murphy and Crystal Lewis; seven great-grandchildren, Rusty Hartley, Justin Vickers, Shelbi Williams, Ariel Medley, Jacob Murphy, Trinity King and Blake Loggins, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ted Medley, Daniel Lewis, Todd Plier, Audey Murphy, Justin Vickers and Erin King. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home. Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.
